We bring together two artistic temperaments in this exhibition, whose work we represent with great enthusiasm. |
Thomas Müller has entirely committed himself to drawing. His works are a vivid, sensual from of thinking. We see crystalline, woven, undulating, planar, floating forms engaged in the most beautiful conversation. They are all imagined and have no physical place anywhere. And precisely for this reason, the associations reach beyond the images into spaces for which we have no conscious image. Thomas Müller’s art is a searching movement. As a sensorium of this searching movement, he uses the line that defines the drawing’s framework: In Thomas Müller’s pictorial space we are comfortably free. Thomas Müller, born in 1959 in Frankfurt am Main, lives in Stuttgart.

Walter Stöhrer’s art is a great resonating space of various influences, which – as different they were – he translated into his own vibrantly dancing paintings. We immediately recognize the artist: this is definitely a painting by Walter Stöhrer. And in the same instance we relearn seeing, because everything is similar and at the same time different. The emotions, the knowledge, the literature and life: this is brought together in his paintings and fascinates us ceaselessly. His works are a constant echo of our imaginations and ideas; they are tremendously fresh and present, in every moment and every detail.
Walter Stöhrer, born in 1937 in Stuttgart, died 2000 in Scholderup.
The works of both artists are present in large private and public collections.
